Acrobat upgrade now free After complaints about the charge for the Adobe Acrobat 4.05 bug-fix update, Adobe now says it will be free to registered 4.0 users. For more background information, check out this web page.

VM tutorial MacInstruct has published a new tutorial titled "A Greenhorn's Guide to Virtual Memory!"

CPU upgrade price drops Sonnet Technologies has dropped prices by as much as $200 on G4 processor upgrades. Newer Technology has similarly announced lower prices (by as much as $100) on their G3 upgrades. Finally XLR8 announced a price reduction (as much as $150) on its 500 MHz MACh Carrier G3 and 500 MHz MACh Speed G3z CPU upgrades.

PowerStitch has been announced. It is "the first digital imaging software capable of stitching together multiple images to render ultra-resolution professional-quality panoramas, effectively turning any standard camera into a medium or large format camera."
