Adobe Acrobat 5 install reports: a follow-up Not everyone is having difficulty with Acrobat 5. In a follow-up to our coverage yesterday, Gary Gray reports that 5 installed flawlessly on his 500 MHz Ti PowerBook, right alongside version 4. He confirms that the Web site will not accept registration numbers from version 3, but he called Adobe and they told him that he was already registered since by purchasing the upgrade directly from them.

Microsoft Office SR1 notice posted There is a revised notice on the SR1 download page which notes the possibility that the update may not install properly, causing one or more of the updated applications to crash on launch. The workaround is the same one we have recommended previously: a fresh reinstall of Office from the original disk and then applying the update.
