AppleWorks demo deletes existing ClarisWorks? If you download and install the AppleWorks/ClarisWorks 5.0 demo, it may appear to wipe out your currently installed older version of ClarisWorks, as double-clicking ClarisWorks documents will now automatically take you to the 5.0 demo version (Thanks, Paul Goossens). However, James Greenidge reports that your old version is still there. After you delete the demo (and possibly rebuild the desktop), things should return to normal.

QuickTime window display problem: a follow-up Previously, we reported a problem with a distorted display of the QuickTime 3 window (advertising QuickTime Pro). Dale Sorenson has now isolated the cause and likely cure: It is restricted to Mac clones with a TwinTurbo video card. Dale adds: "However, IXMICRO notes some significant known problems with version 4.0.5 of the TwinTurbo drivers. Their web site says they're working on the problems and also makes a previous version available (4.0.2) for people affected by the known problems." Details are available at Dale's Web site.
