Ethernet fix still leaves some networking problems unresolved G3 Ethernet 2.0.4 may have fixed certain Ethernet related problems on G3 Macs but, according to Scott Rose, it had no effect on similar problems he has had with G3 Macs on a LocalTalk network. Similarly, Michael Davis reports that, even after installing the update, he still has problems with G3 systems' inability to run the DECnet or LAT protocol stacks, as provided with Digital Equipment Corporation's (DEC) "Pathworks for Macintosh" client software.
