SoundEdit crash on launch glitch Macromedia has confirmed a problem where SoundEdit 16 v2.0.7 will crash on launch. The work-around is to go to the Numbers control panel and select "." rather than "," to be the decimal separator (as this is the default setting, the problem should not crop up too often). (Thanks, Flemming Schade.)

ATI extension prevents desktop rebuilding? Michael Simmons reports that on PowerTower Pro computers (and possibly other clones, although not on any Apple models he tested), if the ATI Desktop Video Extension is installed, holding down Command-Option keys at startup will not work to rebuild the desktop. Disabling the extension (as well as the ATI Desktop Video Control Strip module) solves the problem.
