TechTool Pro on UMAX/SuperMac clones Bill Raab writes: "The version of TechTool Pro pre-installed upon the UMAX/SuperMac clones (and on the OS CD as well) is not updatable via the latest 1.06 updater. I am told by MicroMat that they are working on the UMAX bundled version and hope to release an update soon."

StuffIt SpaceSaver The Known Problems web page for StuffIt Deluxe 4.5 now lists the previously confirmed incompatibility between Mac OS 8.1 and StuffIt SpaceSaver.

Port Doubler glitch James Kamp had a problem where Port Doubler extensions conflicted with Apple's CD-ROM driver in Mac OS 8. The result was that sound was muted when playing audio CD's. James says that Momentum confirmed this bug and said that it will be fixed in an update now expected around March 1.
