There is currently no way to disable this feature in the Mac OS."

Quark OPI bug Reader Jeremy writes: "I confirmed this bug with Quark this morning. If using OPI (omitting images when saving out an EPS), Quark 4.1 will put in an incorrect OPI path into the generated file if the omitted image is an EPS (TIFF works OK). For example, if the image has been placed from Server/Images/Bob.eps, the resulting path put within the EPS will be inaccurate listing instead Mac HD/Bob.eps as the location of the image. This is a major bug for pre-press as many people rely upon OPI to reduce their file-size. Quark is aware of the issue, and is investigating. The same file will work fine under Quark 4.04."
