Updating trimmed applications Gavin Greenoak was having trouble applying the update to certain applications, such as Conflict Catcher. He found that the problem was that he had previously "trimmed" the excess code for the applications via Spring Cleaning. Reinstalling the non-trimmed version allowed the update to proceed.

QuickDraw 3D 1.6 and OpenGL Shiro Wilde notes that QuickDraw 3D version 1.6. It is part of OpenGL 1.0 Installer. The latest version otherwise listed in Apple's Software Updates is 1.5.3.

Bugs Life no go on Virtual PC Michael Beshara could not run the Windows version of "Disney's Active Play: A Bug's Life" using Virtual PC. Connectix replied "Unfortunately there is not a workaround, but we are looking into this and hope to provide a solution of some kind in a future update or upgrade to Virtual PC."

Graphing Calculator and Suitcase 3.0 conflict Dylan McNamee writes: "Under Mac OS 8.5.x and 8.6, with Suitcase 3.0 installed, Graphing Calculator 2.2 has a slider in the upper-right hand corner, which does nothing, and blocks part of the input window. Disabling Suitcase 3.0 fixes the problem. I have not yet tried updating Suitcase to version 8.0."

Orange Micro and Zip glitch Mark DeGroff was having problems getting his Zip drive recognized - when it was connected to an Orange Micro Grappler 906F SCSI card installed in his Performa 6400. He contacted Orange Micro about this and they replied that the Zip drive could not be the terminating device attached to the Grappler card and to make sure the Zip disk is out of the drive when you start up. Mark notes that the Grappler card manual does not mention this, although it does say that the Zip drive cannot be the "only" item attached to the card.

Graphic Simulations Corp. has released a beta version of F/A-18 KoreaGL "which offers stunning graphics and unparalleled realism when used with Apple Computer's new OpenGL software. The new version also supports Input Sprockets which allows the use of all Mac friendly USB input devices."

Nanosaur has been updated to 1.1.5.
