Novell Netware broadcast messages and MacIPX glitch

A reader reports to have received the following message from Novell Tech Support: "Symptom: Broadcast messages from Netware 4.1 servers are causing Macintosh workstations running MacIPX to lock up. Solution: If you are using Netware Client for Mac OS 5.11, locate the Netware Tree icon located across the top pulldown bar and select Configure, Options, and uncheck the 'Allow Incoming Messages' option. If you are using Netware Client for Mac OS 5.1, go to the Control Panel, Netware Client, Options, and uncheck the 'Allow Incoming Messages' option." Presumably, the mclupd3.bin update does not fix this (true?).
