Not your typical pinup calendar

A calendar put out by the University of Illinois is forgoing leggy pinup girls for a different kind of model. Rather, the school is going for a brainier sort.

Far from a Bettie Page photo shoot, each month of the "Big Brains" 2006 calendar features the brain scans of university students, faculty, staff and administrators. Nobel prize winner Tony Leggett is just one of many people associated with the university who are featured in the calendar, which the school hopes will raise the profile of its Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology, which does research in the fields of biological intelligence, human-computer intelligent interaction, and molecular and electronic nanostructures.
