Norton Utilities 5.0.3; Norton AntiVirus 6.0.2 and LiveUpdate 1.5.1 out!

CNET staff
Norton's LiveUpdate is now downloading: Norton Utilities 5.0.3, Norton AntiVirus 6.0.2, and LiveUpdate 1.5.1 (thanks, Don Foy and others). Apparently, they are not yet available from the Symantec Web site. The updates fix some long standing bugs previously reported on MacFixIt: New in NAV 6.0.2: Updated the Operating System on the CD to Mac OS 9.0.4. Resolved a crash at startup under OS 9.0.2 and 9.0.3 if "Bypass File System" was selected in the Prevention preferences. Resolved an issue where Location Manager failed to automatically change AppleTalk settings if Auto-Protect was installed. Improved Safe Zone scanning. New in Norton Utilities 5.0.3: Bootable CD updated to include OS 9.0.4. Resolved an issue on iBooks causing them not to wake from sleep if DiskLight is installed. Fixing LiveUpdate failures Larry Gordon writes: "If you are having a problem updating to NAV 6.0.2 from 6.0.1, because you get an error that says the update could not complete because a resource has been modified (as also covered in the item below): reinstall NAV from your original CD, uninstalling first; LiveUpdate should now work. Those who will have this problem are mainly those who updated from NAV 6.0 to NAV 6.0.1 via LiveUpdate previously. This has been confirmed with Symantec Technical Support." Note: LiveUpdate 1.5.1 has actually been around since December 1999.
