Norton AntiVirus crash in Mac OS 8.5.1: a work-around

We have previously reported that Norton AntiVirus' AutoProtect extension may cause Finder crashes when running Mac OS 8.5.1. Eric Hallquist writes that postings on Symantec's Technical Support Forums suggested that moving the extension to the root level of the System Folder (so that it loaded last) would solve the problem. He tried it and it worked.

However, doing this means that NAV will not be able to check (for viruses) any of the extensions that load prior to NAV loading.
