Nokia to continue China investment

Mobile phone maker Nokia said Monday that it plans to continue its strong investment in China. The company already has invested a total of $2 billion in China. The country accounted for $2.72 billion, or about 10 percent, of Nokia's 2001 sales of $27.2 billion. Last year Nokia opened a manufacturing facility in Beijing and a research facility in Hangzhou, which focuses on 3G technology. The company has also established more than 20 offices and taken part in eight joint ventures in China.
