The new sale marks a drop in price from Amazon's regular $249 price tag but is good for today only.

Consumers eyeing Nokia's Lumia 1020 smartphone can now grab one for $199.99 courtesy of a one-day sale at Amazon.

The retail giant's Web site shows the black, white, and yellow versions of the high-res picture-taking phone on sale for AT&T subscribers. The $199.99 price requires the usual two-year contract. The promotion is good for just one day, according to Amazon, so eager buyers will have to snag it by the end of the day Wednesday.

The Lumia 1020 typically sells for $299.99 directly through AT&T and such retailers as Best Buy. Microsoft offers the phone through its retail outlets for the same price but throws in a Nokia camera grip worth $74.

Just last month, Amazon lowered its price for the 1020 to $249.99.
