Nokia 6730 Classic: Vodafone gets you where you want to go
Vodafone is to be the exclusive provider for the Nokia 6730, a new handset boasting assorted navigation options
Nokia has announced its new 6730 Classic phone, which is about to be available exclusively through Vodafone around the world. It runs Symbian S60 and packs all sorts of options for when you get lost.
The 6730 Classic gives you access to Nokia maps, along with turn-by-turn navigation. Points of interest are saved in the database along with local listings information, so you can look up where you want to go, and be directed all the way there. Sounds good -- we can't navigate our way out of a sack.
Also on board is Bluetooth, quad-band GSM and dual-band HSDPA connectivityness. It packs a 56mm (2.2-inch) QVGA display with all the colours of the rainbow -- all, er, 16 million of them. There's a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash. Pictures and music are stored on a bundled 1GB microSD card.
Nokia describes the 6730 Classic as a fitting upgrade to anyone with a Nokia 6500 Classic or Nokia 6300 currently in their pockets. If that's you, or if you like the cut of its jib, the 6730 will be available in June in sleek black or white.
