NHL's Hurricanes shoot wireless messages

Fans of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes now can get ticket offers and promotions sent to their wireless phone, ticket-selling leviathan Ticketmaster announced Tuesday. The pilot program involves applications developed by messaging company Unimobile. Phone owners receive the promotions as short text messages known as SMSes, for short messaging service.
