Connect Expo 2014 is a new tech show launching in Melbourne next week for those with a love for all things technology, whether you work in the industry or are passionate about its future. The expo area will feature smart technologies; connected home and work spaces; a series of conference streams on everything from digital health to enterprise mobility; and connected entertainment.

We're particularly excited about the Next Big Thing Summit stream, featuring a great line up of keynote speeches and panels on some big concept future ideas. Stand out speakers include the great futurist Ray Kurzweil (delivering his talk via video link); ex-Wired Editor and now CEO of 3D Robotics Chris Anderson; and David Gump, CEO of Deep Space Industries.

Yours truly will also be chairing proceedings in the Next Big Thing Summit, so say hi if you're in attendance.

The event takes place Thursday and Friday next week, 13-14 March.

Registrations are still open, with free access to the expo and seminar events. Access to the various conferences starts at $695.
