New Xbox? Now I'm cross...

Not only did my Xbox 360 explode, but now it seems it's obsolete too. Okay, I'm overreacting again. But I'm not that thrilled to learn that mere weeks after my purchase of a 360 there's going to be a new version featuring HDMI and a 120GB hard drive. It's also rumoured that it will run a little cooler too, something the Xbox really needs.

But not only is my Xbox 360 no longer the latest and greatest, I'm also annoyed by the fact that if I'd bothered to queue up and get a PlayStation 3 at the launch event, I'd now be playing games and watching stuff on a free 46-inch Bravia LCD screen.

I'm amazed at the lengths Sony has gone to in an attempt to get its console into the news. This must surely be a sign that they're worried people aren't talking about it. Or worse, that it really is the great unwanted console.

Update: A full review of the Xbox 360 Elite is now live.
