Are these the droids you're looking for? Twitter has partnered with Disney and Lucasfilm to introduce "Star Wars" emoji to the social network, so tweeters can now send a Stormtrooper, C-3PO or BB-8 droid emoji.

Twitter announced the three character emoji via blog post on Thursday, saying more characters will follow in coming weeks. In addition to the three characters released Thursday, Twitter users will be treated to a mix of new characters from "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens," as well as several legacy characters from past "Star Wars" movies. The emoji are intended to celebrate the theatrical release of "The Force Awakens," which is set for December.

Posting "Star Wars" emoji is as simple as a hashtag. Adding the #C3PO, #Stormtrooper or #BB8 hashtags to your tweet will automatically add a small emoji to your message. Because what tweet wouldn't be better with a cute rolling ball droid at the end?
