New Sonnet Technologies products

Responding to issues previously referenced on MacFixIt, Sonnet Technologies has announced several new products:

7100 Adapter Kit This adapter solves the prior technical incompatibilities with the 7100. The new adapter kit will incorporate special circuitry that solves all of the timing problems that existed with some 7100 configurations. It should be available on September 14.

8100 Adapter Kit The 8100 Video Adapter Kit "allows existing PDS video card (Apple HPV or AV card) to connect through Sonnet's Crescendo G3 Processor Upgrade Card. This pass-through device is necessary to allow continued use of the video card because the G3 upgrade for NuBus computers must be installed in the PDS slot, where the original video card currently resides. The adapter kit connects the video card to the to the processor upgrade card and holds the video card firmly in place over the middle NuBus slot. We are now moving the kits into production and the product will ship in November."

Sonata Pro 24 is a new accelerated video card for the 7100 and 8100 NuBus Power Macintoshes. Users can now chose between Sonnet's Sonata Pro 24 Video Card, or the video adapter kit to compliment their Crescendo G3 upgrade purchase.

Meanwhile, there is a new Sonnet Crescendo 1.2.5b5 driver.
