New chips for Qualcomm

Qualcomm unveiled more details about a cell phone chip it plans to ship to cell phone makers in the third quarter. The San Diego-based chip designer said Wednesday that its MSM 6100 contains MPEG video-decoding software, 3D software for gaming, a music synthesizer, a digital camera, and a way to turn a cell phone into a compass, among other features.
