The Cisco iPhone Cisco has executed on its iPhone trademark, offering a new line of VOIP phones with the nomenclature. TreoCentral reports: "Well, it appears that the Palm Treo isn't in any immediate danger from Apple's upcoming iPhone. In fact, Apple's phone device won't even be called the iPhone because the 'iPhone' is a voip phone made by Linksys. Cisco, their parent company, has owned that trademark since 1996. Pictured here is one of the Linksys voip phones; the Wireless-G WIP320 Phone, which is Skype compatible." More.

SBC: The Mac Means Business Small Business Computing reports on the small business symposium that will take place at Macworld Expo 2007. "[...] when it comes to software to run your business, you may want to think about buying a Windows PC. Whether or not that is a fair representation of the Mac is, of course, open to interpretation and largely comes down to your perception of the Mac. But even if you if love the Mac mostly for what it's best-known for, you may not be giving it enough credit for its business savvy, according Paul Kent, vice president of Macworld Expo." More.

ZFS Shows Up in New Leopard Build Slashdot reports that as a follow-up to rumors from May this year, "World of Apple has a screenshot showing Sun's Zettabyte File System in 'the most recent Build of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.' Though I still wonder: If it is not meant to replace HFS , could there be any other reasons to support ZFS?" More.
