The Apple Guitar One of our readers has assembled a guitar using the Apple logo and a sleek, Jonathan Ive-inspired design.

Paul writes "I have used Apple Computers for around nine years now, I use Logic Audio quite a bit and do an awful lot of graphic work. I am also a freelance musician (just about to go on tour) and I have built a guitar to use on tour.

"I modeled it on the PowerBook and that big Apple is carved into the wood plus, the dot fret markers are indeed miniature Apples. I am not trying to make any money from this, building guitars is sort of a hobby when I get the time, and it is just for my own use."

Job cuts in Cupertino Apple is cutting more than 100 jobs, according to a Silicon.com report. "Apple said a reorganization of its sales and marketing efforts will result in 148 job cuts over the course of the current fiscal year, which ends in September. The cuts are in addition to 200 jobs that were eliminated when the company closed its Sacramento, California plant in April. Apple said in April that it was making the cuts, but did not say how many jobs were affected." More.
