Sun brings Java Studio Creator to Mac OS X Sun has ported its visual development environment, Sun Java Studio Creator to Mac OS X. A press release reads "Mac developers looking for expert advice and information on Java-related topics, including Java Studio Creator, are invited to visit the vibrant Mac Java community at http://community.java.net/mac. In addition, this marks the first multilanguage release of the product, with support for Japanese and simplified Chinese." More.

Amazon's Tiger fiasco A series of projected release dates posted by Amazon.com have caused confusion about the shipping date of Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) -- which Apple has yet to announce. A somewhat misleading Silicon.com article calls Tiger "the next Longhorn." Apple is sticking with its assertion that Mac OS X 10.4 will ship in the first half of 2005. More.
