New and Noteworthy: Jobs takes jabs at Longhorn
Jobs takes jabs at Longhorn PC Pro reports that Steve Jobs took another pop at Microsoft and Longhorn, its long-awaited successor to Windows XP, at Apple's AGM yesterday. 'They are shamelessly copying us,' he said, before adding that, 'They can't even copy fast.' Longhorn is scheduled for release in 2006. Microsoft's Windows chief Jim Allching suggested last week that rather than Microsoft copying Apple, it is the other way round. 'They may just be copying us, he said, noting that Microsoft first showed elements of Longhorn in 2003. Apple gave the first public airing of 10.4 a little under a year ago. More.
