New and Noteworthy: "Choosing a Mac for the holidays"; Home-brewed iPod mini ad
"Choosing a Mac for the holidays" A Buffalo News article soundly recommends the Macintosh as a holiday gift for 2004: " So if you're still sure you want a new computer, my first suggestion is to think Apple Macintosh. Too many PC people just ignore the Mac because of the conventional wisdom that they're too different, too marginal, and too expensive. Not so. They are different, but almost entirely in ways that make them easier to set up and use. And they're different in that they aren't vulnerable to the viruses and spyware that attack today's Windows PCs." More.
Home-brewed iPod mini ad Wired News reports on a new home-made iPod mini ad that is "going viral.": "Masters' 60-second animated ad features flying iPods, pulsing hearts and swirling '70s psychedelia. It's set to the beat of 'Tiny Machine' by '80s pop band the Darling Buds. Masters quietly posted the spot to his site a few weeks ago. It received moderate traffic until it was picked up by several blogs last week. In a matter of days, the ad has been watched more than 37,000 times, and is making the rounds on blogs and e-mail."
