Balda reportedly making iPhone screens Gizmodo reports that German is building the Apple iPhone screen. "Balda now makes glass-surfaced screens that are far more sensitive, thinner, and harder to scratch or smudge than the plastic displays that now dominate. They offer sharper resolution, and unlike conventional touch screens?which get confused by more than one finger at a time?Balda's displays can sense several human digits simultaneously." More.

Apple is not deleting Apple TV hacks Engadget reports that Apple is not disabling hacks for the Apple TV through a backdoor mechanism. "We had a word with Apple yesterday about the Apple TV -- specifically about that supposed backdoor. We asked whether enthusiasts really are in fact having services and hacks shut down through surreptitious software updates and backdoors into the Apple TV, to which Apple let us know that is absolutely not the case."
