Apple WWDC early registration ends today Early Registration for Apple's Wordlwide Developer Conference is San Francisco - where Steve Jobs will take the wraps off Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) - ends today, May 14th. After today, prices rise up to US$300. An Apple statement reads "There?s still enough time to book a great week in San Francisco, including a seat in one of the pre-conference workshops and a room at one of the conference hotels." More.

VGAtor for Apple flat-panels now available Dr. Bott has commenced shipment of the VGAtor, lets you use all PowerBooks with a built-in VGA port as well as PC notebooks with Apple's family of ADC flat-panel displays. VGAtor converts VGA, USB and power signals into a single digital ADC signal. The device was optimized for the PowerBook G4 12" with VGA. VGAtor is priced at US$300. More.

Apple wants to leverage online music A CBS MarketWatch report notes that Alex Luke, director of music programming and label relations for the Cupertino, Calif.-based company's ITunes unit, is hunting down everything from out-of-print singles in a music company's vaults to songs that have never been released. "A recent deal with Motown Records hints at the treasure trove that could be unearthed. The label has agreed to license to ITunes its first 45 singles plus 45 classic albums. Harry Weinger, vice president of artist and repertoire at Universal Music, which controls the Motown library, said 95 percent of its catalog is unavailable to the public." More.
