A month with the Mac: Part 2 In the second installment of his "A Month with a Mac" article, 'die-hard' PC user Anand Lal Shimpi tests the functionality, performance, and build quality of an Apple laptop, concluding "[...] having owned some of the smallest laptops around, I can say that despite its bulk, I can get a lot more work done on the PowerBook than I could on my more portable notebooks. And compared to most average notebooks, the PowerBook is extremely competitive in portability, especially the 12" and 15" models. It's smaller, lighter and thinner than competing PC notebooks, which are all things that matter when talking about a notebook." More.

AppleWorks Users Group to Support iWork The AppleWorks User Group (AWUG) has announced that it would also support Apple's new iWork suite. "Future issues of AWUG's flagship publication, the AppleWorks Journal, will contain articles designed to help AppleWorks users transition to iWork and will help iWork users master the power built into Apple's new technologies. AWUG will also adapt its extensive library of AppleWorks word processor templates so they are compatible with Pages, the page layout/word processing component of iWork." More.
