Apple WebObjects 5.1.2 is out.

OmniWeb 4.1b6 is the latest release of this Cocoa-based Web browser. This update enhances tables and frames, fixes a number of bugs, and adds a number of speed improvements.

OmniOutliner 2.0 adds column types, RTF support, sorting, column checkboxes, summary types, calculated values, each item can have a note that appears in a separate text area below the outline. Auto-numbering of rows is now supported. Several numbering styles are available, and the style may be set on a per-level basis. It also adds new keyboard preferences, support for alternating row colors, column background colors, and bug fixes.

Desktop Carousel 1.0 is a Mac OS X application to change or update your desktop picture at specified intervals.

Apple unifies its open source web presence Apple has consolidated the Apple PublicSource site into the Apple Developer Connection website. The Apple Open Source website, formerly http://www.opensource.apple.com/, is now located at http://developer.apple.com/darwin/. This will provide a single point of entry to Open Source resources, and continue to be the reference CVS repository for all Apple's open source projects, including Darwin. In addition, the Internet Software Consortium will now host a new community web server openDarwin.org to provide project members greater latitude in producing incremental updates or interim releases of Darwin.

Aladdin Systems and Activeworlds Corp may merge Aladdin Systems, makers of the StuffIt products, has announced its intent to merge with Activeworlds, which provides software products and online services that permit users to enter, move about and interact with others in a computer- generated, three-dimensional virtual environment using the Internet.
