Vicomsoft to preview Internet Gateway Vicomsoft will be demonstrating a prerelease version of the Internet Gateway running on MacOS X at the MacWorld Expo in New York in booth 1737. Along with Shared Internet Access and a robust Firewall, the Internet Gateway incorporates a large range of connectivity and management features including robust Firewall security, DHCP/DNS Servers, Users & Groups, Timed Access Controls, Connection Teaming, Remote Controls and Monitoring, Caching and User Defined Filters.
Toast Titanium 5.1P1 is an all-in-one CD and DVD mastering (burning) solution. It will allow users to burn data CD and DVDs, as well as audio CDs on the Mac OS X operating system. Not all features of Toast 5 Titanium are currently supported in Preview #1, however, Roxio intends to continue enhancing Toast 5 Titanium.
VR Toolbox, Inc. announces VR Worx 2.1 VR Worx is a suite of authoring tools for QuickTime VR that includes creating cylindrical panoramic movies, object movies, multi-node scenes (a.k.a. virtual tours), transitions within a multi-node scene, and more. The software is available now via download from VR Toolbox's Web site.
DiamondSoft Announces Font Reserve Server for Mac OS X Promised for the third quarter, DiamondSoft is showing Font Reserve Server running on a Mac OS X Server in booth #561. Font Reserve Server is a font management system that provides a workgroup with access to fonts from a single source while allowing an administrator to manage access to fonts through permissions. The database runs on Mac OS X (or Windows NT/2000) and communicates with Macintosh-based clients (running Mac OS 9.1 or earlier) over TCP/IP. Font Reserve 2.6 (for single users) is also under development and is expected to be released in the third quarter as well.
