Connect home stereo speakers to your Mac Griffin Technology has introduced the ProSpeaker-Breakout Cable. This cable allows Mac owners to connect any set of home stereo speakers directly to a Power Mac G4 or LCD iMac. The Mac itself powers the speakers and no additional external amplifier is necessary.
VersionTracker Pro's Ticker VersionTracker Pro 2.0 includes a new OS X-only feature called Ticker. It is a window that sits translucently on your desktop (it politely never gets in front of another application's windows). When you are connected to the Internet, it is continuously updated (every hour) with the most recent additions to VersionTracker. Click on any item and you are taken to the site where you can download the software. Ticker also has a built-in search engine. Yes, we readily admit that VersionTracker is owned by TechTracker, which also owns MacFixIt. So anything positive we say here can sound self-serving. However, we have never used VersionTracker Pro much before now. Given the way we use VersionTracker, we always wound up preferring to go directly to the standard web page. The Ticker is different. We now use it all the time. It's the best way we have found for making sure we get alerted to the latest updates as fast as possible.
