Now Up-to-Date & Contact 4.0.1 is out. Changes include support in email preferences for Microsoft Outlook Express, Entourage, and Outlook, improved conversion of files from earlier versions of Now Up-to-Date & Contact to accommodate files with more than 100 keywords, enhanced ease of setup for connecting to servers, increased search speed, user-definable hot keys in the QuickContact menu, several minor fixes, and more. Macs in short supply One of the best indicators of new Macs is the scarcity of existing models. The conventional wisdom is that there will be an announcement at next week's Macworld Expo, especially given that the Apple Store is now quoting iMac delivery times for most models at 10 days. iTunes wins another convert Chris Taylor writes in Time magazine's current issue: "My final test was the beautifully simple iTunes, freely (and, sadly, only) available for Macs. Build a playlist, click on a button and let it burn, baby. My first iTunes CD was so easy to make and so glitch free, I had tears in my eyes. Tears, because all my music is on the other computer."

DV MasStor Direct Recording Disk debuts The ADTX DV MasStor uses FireWire to record digital video onto a removable hard disk cartridge, and it is designed for computer-less recording and play back of digital video. More info.
