Netscape X 6.2 is out. Steve Dagley (of Netscape) sent us a list of what is new in this version. Here are the major changes:
  • It's a real release as opposed to the N6.1 Preview for Mac OS X
  • It's a bundled/packaged app
  • Fixed slower than cold maple syrup performance on dual-CPU machines
  • No longer hogs CPU after opening mail/news windows
  • Infinite number of mail folders bug fixed
  • E-mail w/o DST offset no longer gets bogus date of 1931
  • Spellcheck no longer crashes
  • Crash reloading QT movies fixed
  • Integrated AIM client works
  • Mousewheel scrolling is more responsive by default
  • "Technicolor" menus from N6.1 under OS X 10.1 fixed

Timbuktu Pro 6.0.1 is the latest update to this OS 8/9 and OS X remote control, file transfer and collaboration tool. New in this version: Support for Mac OS X 10.1, including the Security Update [You must run this version of Timbuktu Pro if you are running 10.1; it also works in 10.0.4.] Also new for the OS X version: Hide desktop picture or pattern; The ability to upgrade Timbuktu versions without restarting; more.
