Netscape X 6.2.2 is the latest update to the Netscape browser suite. New features include: Improved Autocomplete, in addition to providing a list of matching web sites, now can automatically fill-in the closest matching web site; Improved downloading for better management of different file-types; Improved stability; Enhanced security. Rackmount option for Power Macs A new rackmount option from Marathon Computer allows the installation of any Macintosh tower case in a standard 19" equipment rack, retaining the tower's vertical orientation. With this option, two G3 or G4 tower cases can fit side by side in just 11 rack units of vertical space.

NVIDIA GeForce4 Titanium delay? A reader just received word from Apple that the Dual 1-GHz G4 that he ordered was ready to ship, but not with a NVIDIA GeForce4 Titanium. They offered to ship it with a GeForce4 MX card instead, and ship the Titanium card later for free. The problem is, they can't tell me how long the delay for the card will be. The Apple Store agent went on to say that the Titanium option will be removed from the Store today and there will be no new orders accepted."

An Anti-Mac Corporate Conspiracy? "Here's an interesting theory. Corporate information-technology managers favor PCs because these machines are so befuddling. Copy Protection Bill Introduced Sen. Hollings has introduced his copy protection legislation. The bill, called the Consumer Broadband and Digital Television Promotion Act (CBDTPA), prohibits the sale of any kind of electronic device - unless that device includes copy-protection standards to be set by the federal government.
