Macworld Expo Keynote webcast An Apple press release notes that Steve Jobs' keynote address at Macworld Expo will be webcast live, using QuickTime streaming video technology. It will take place at 9 a.m. PST on Wednesday, January 5, and can be accessed through Apple's web site.

MacInTax for Business discontinued Gary Marmillion received an email from Intuit, dated November 30, that said: "Our sales and survey results for the past year indicate a significant drop in the demand for our MacInTax for Business products. Therefore, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue this product line."

MP3 Rage 1.5 has been released. It is an "MP3 file editor, organizer, renamer, and ID3 tag changer and it now supports playing MP3 music."

QuickTime 4.1 due today? William Kucharski advises us that QuickTime 4.1 will be released some time today. We have no other confirmation of this, but we'll be checking Apple's Software Updates and QuickTime pages for a possible announcement.
