Mac OS X at a cybercafe L A Bridge Internet has partnered with Mani's Bakery & Cafe to open a cybercafe called Ethertable. The cafe uses Mac OS X Server running on a G3/BW workstation. The computers are iMacs which boot over a 100 megabit Ethernet using Netboot. The Blue G3 doubles as a router connecting the cybercafe to the Internet over a 1.5 megabit DSL line.

New FireWire products from Orange Micro Orange Micro announces five new FireWire products, including a FireWire PC Card and a FireWire/SCSI converter. Hinting at a rumored new iMac, the press release contains this statement: "Apple will add FireWire to the iMac and its newest PowerBooks; and SCSI will be gone forever, wiping out your SCSI peripheral investment?"
