New & Noteworthy: Final Cut Pro; MacAMP; more

Final Cut Pro 1.0.1 is out. This update includes the Final Cut Pro 1.0.1 application, FireWire 2.0, the latest ATI extensions as of 15 July 1999. Final Cut Pro 1.0.1 offers increased compatibility, bug fixes, and contains general improvements that will provide better performance and increased stability. The Read Me file has also been posted as a TIL article (#60419).

As promised here earlier this week, MacAMP 1.0 Preview Edition is now available.

Planet Earth 2.1.2 is now out.

Mozilla - the code name for the next generation of Netscape browsers - is now up to Milestone 8.
