New & Noteworthy: Bugdom: ADC/DVD adapter; Pioneer DVD-R; TaxCut Update follow-up

Bugdom 1.1.5 is the latest version of this game included with iMacs, iBooks and now some G4 Cubes. The update fixed a problem where the Save Game dialog would not appear for some people.

ADC monitors to DVI Macs cable David Rivers informs us that Molex "has already developed an adapter to connect ADC monitors with DVI Macs, they have supplied it exclusively to Apple USA and are not at present licensed to sell it to the general public." [See also previous item.]

Pioneer DVD-R external drive coming soon Consistent with our previous reports, a ZDNet article notes that Pioneer's DV-R (the basis of Apple's SuperDrive) should soon be available as an external drive selling for around $1000. It also notes that drives using a rival DVD RW format should be out by the end of the year. As usual, one format will likely become the eventual standard, leaving owners of the other type as orphans. So, unless you have money as well as DVDs to burn, you may want to hold off on a purchase.

TaxCut Update follow-up We added an update to yesterday's item on the TaxCut Update B that points to an updater for the downloaded version of TaxCut.
