Apple and Sorenson settle lawsuit Apple and Sorenson Media, Inc. announced the
settlement of a pending federal court lawsuit that had been brought by Apple in April, 2002. The settlement provides for the dismissal of all claims and counterclaims. No financial terms were disclosed. More.

Palm approves reverse stock split In an attempt to regain investor confidence and avoid delisting, Palm has approved a reverse stock split and established a ratio of 1-for 20. This move followed a vote Oct. 1 at the Palm Annual Shareholders' Meeting in which shareholders authorized the board to effect the reverse split. Palm common stock will begin trading on a reverse-split basis on Oct. 15, 2002. More.
