ABS for the Mac - including OS X Providing hands-free backup and external storage in capacities ranging from 10GB to 100GB, CMS Peripherals will debut at Macworld Expo in January the industry's first complete line of portable notebook and desktop Automatic Backup Systems (ABS) for Mac users. The ABSplus for iBook and PowerBook users fits conveniently in a shirt pocket for instant backup, recovery, external file storage or instant file sharing capability whenever and wherever necessary. The Mac ABS supports OS 8.6, 9.x and X.

XPlay Technology Preview 1 is now available. Formerly XPod, it allows you to use an iPod with Windows Me, 98SE, 2000 and XP.

MathType for OS X coming Jeffrey Miller received the following note frm the developers of MathType: "We are currently developing the next version of MathType for the Mac which will include a feature-set that is much more in line with MathType 5 for Windows, and it will also run natively under OS X. We hope to have this version ready later next year."
