Netscape Communicator 4.5 glitches

Regarding the current public beta of Communicator 4.5:

Slow URL entry glitch Jim Muha found that Communicator 4.5's "auto-complete" function (the feature that fills in suggested URLs as you type) slows down typing of URLs: "It is agonizingly slow to respond and while it is figuring something out I cannot type anything. I mean waiting 10 to 15 seconds after each few letters are typed. A long URL takes over a minute to finish."

He wrote to Netscape about this and they replied: "Deleting your Global History file should speed this up. We are looking into ways of making this faster."

Email glitch According to Rob Art Morgan: "You can't drag and drop text when composing email in Communicator 4.5 (beta) like you can in older versions."
