Netscape 4.5: new build?; Speed Doubler conflict

New Communicator build Vincent Jalby writes: "There is a new build of Netscape Communicator 4.5 (dated October 21). The About Communicator window lists it as 4.5-98293. The previous version was 4.5-98286." No mention is made of what's new.

Speed Doubler conflict Tony Aguila writes: "Whenever I use the Keyboard Power feature in Speed Doubler 8 to pull down menus in Communicator 4.5, I immediately experience a freeze... no error message, no quit. The system locks up, the cursor frozen, and the only way to recover is by doing a keyboard restart." Christian Horchert and Tim Smith report the same problem. Christian notes that the problem did not occur in previous versions of Netscape browsers.

Update: Dane Riley (of Connectix) writes: "We are aware of the bug with Netscape Navigator 4.5 and plan to have a maintenance release very soon."

Update: George Machen claims to have had this problem even with Navigator 4.06 and 4.07.
