Netflix appoints VP of Internet TV
Netflix added to its ranks on Monday, appointing the founder of ReplayTV to the newly created position of vice president of Internet TV.
Anthony Wood, 41, is the founder and former CEO of ReplayTV, maker of one of the first digital video recorders. He also founded Roku, iBand and BrightSign.
Wood's appointment follows Netflix's January introduction of its Watch Now service, in which customers can view a movie through an Internet-connected PC immediately instead of waiting for a DVD to arrive in the mail.
