In a galaxy not so far away, actor Neil Patrick Harris and his family did the Force proud by dressing as their favorite Star Wars characters to celebrate Halloween.

Harris posted a photo on Instagram on Halloween of himself dressed as Obi-Wan Kenobi and his husband David Burtka portraying Han Solo.

Not to be upstaged by their parents, Harris' fraternal twins Harper Grace and Gideon Scott, 5, portrayed the Star Wars twins Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker.

Lots of people dress as Star Wars characters for Halloween, of course, but the attention to detail here was truly impressive. From the Princess Leia hair buns to Luke's lightsaber to Han Solo's blaster, all the Star Wars costumes were impeccable.

A long time ago in a Halloween far, far away....

If you look more closely at the Instagram photo, you can also see a Yoda toy taking shelter under a rock.

"A long time ago in a Halloween far, far away...." Harris captioned the photo.

This isn't the first time Harris has upstaged us all on Halloween. His past family costumes have included dressing up as Batman, Robin, the Joker and the Riddler.

And sometimes the twins like to dress up for Halloween as a mermaid and a made-up superhero "Captain Color Pants."

Here's hoping that next year, we see the family depict Avengers or the X-Men.
