NAV LiveUpdate: failure to work may be linked to Multi-User Startup

Several users (Peter Gerondelis, Veerle Pieters, and Rob Jorgensen) have reported that Norton AntiVirus' LiveUpdate feature recently stopped working for them. They get an error message (such as one saying that the update could not complete because a resource has been modified) when they try to use the feature. Reinstalling does not help. Peter found that disabling the Multi-User Startup v1.3 extension eliminated the problem.
