Nano-Nano, new iPod accessories

That's how Mork would welcome all the new products out there for the new iPod Nano.

Almost immediately after last week's unveiling of the tiny iPod Nano, iPod accessory makers got busy announcing new goods and working to get them quickly to market.

It's hard to keep track of just who was first, other than Apple, which along with the Nanoreleased Nano accessories like lanyard headphones, armbands, and a set of colored gloves.

Speck Products definitely hustled. It's collection of nine Nano cases--ranging from the "iGuy" to the "Cloudy FunSkin"--should ship next month. The company "believes it will be first to market with the largest collection of iPod nano cases available anywhere," a spokeswoman said.

ezGear, however, was earlier to announce its collection of silicon ezSkins for the Nano. They're slated for release at the end of the month and cost $24.98.

Digital Lifestyle Oufitters was also quick to promote its AutoPod car charger for the Nano, which costs $24.99 and will also be on shelves in October.

But perhaps my favorite accessory so far is iPodmybaby's black iPod Nano onsie, with a slogan that spoofs the Nano's "Impossibly small" ad: "Impossibly cute."

We're just scratching the surface here. And just wait, your accessory choices will multiple...
