MusicMatch Sends Apology Letter to Mac Customers

CNET staff

MusicMatch has sent an e-mail to its Macintosh customers apologizing for the decision to drop further development of its Jukebox application, and withdraw all Mac products from the market:

"Beginning Tuesday, October 22, MusicMatch Jukebox and Radio MX for Mac will no longer be available. Macintosh customers will still be able to use their existing MusicMatch Jukebox software, but the MusicMatch Radio service will no longer be offered within the software.

"As a valued MusicMatch Jukebox for Mac customer, we'd like to thank you for all of the support you've given us over the past two years. Even though development efforts for our Mac Jukebox have stopped, we will still continue to provide customer and technical support for an extended period of time.

"Development of the MusicMatch Jukebox software and Radio service for the PC will continue. We have some very exciting products and services on the horizon that will continue our tradition of digital music innovation... Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this change may have caused."
