MS Office 98 and TIFF files bug
MS Office 98 and TIFF files bug
Microsoft KnowledgeBase article Q187995 reports that "The size of a Tag Image File Format (TIFF) picture opened in a third-party graphics product may be much smaller than the same TIFF picture opened in Office 98 apps. Why? The TIFF graphic filter incorrectly translates graphics that are exported from some graphics applications.
Work-around: Convert the image to another graphic format (for example, Macintosh Picture (PICT) or Encapsulated Postscript (EPS) with a graphic converter application. The picture in the new graphic format can then be inserted." (Thanks, Dominik Hoffmann.)
