Motorola just confirmed previous rumors of the Atrix HD Android smartphone. The $99.99 device will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and boast a big 4.5-inch display.

The width of the svelte handset will also be a trim 8.4mm and it sports a similar backside Kevlar coating that's found on the Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx. Other nice features include an 8-megapixel main camera that records 1080p video, plus access to AT&T's 4G LTE data network.

Motorola claims the Atrix HD's 4.5-inch screen uses what it calls HD Color Boost technology that's designed to offer more vibrant colors and sharper images. There's no word yet on the processor other than it's a dual-core chip. Other component details such as the phone's battery capacity remain murky as well but check back soon for more info.

In the meantime take a look at AT&T's and Motorola's official Atrix HD promo videos plus Moto's press release.
